Did you know: Small engines, in particular 2-stroke engines used in conventional lawn care equipment, contribute to 10-12% of the nation’s air pollution. Gas lawn mowers consume 580 million gallons of gasoline annually and 25-35% of this fuel escapes unburned. The AZ government recently gave an Executive Order to stop using gasoline powered lawn equipment by June 30, 2007!

Check out a new online tool where you can calculate the emissions from your lawn equipment based on where you live and the size of your yard. Go to www.cleanairlawncare.com and click on CLEAN LAWN CALCULATOR. It's pretty cool!
Clean Air Lawn Care is a Fort Collins lawn mowing company on the cutting edge of clean, green lawn care and for good reason. Small engines, in particular 2-stroke engines used in conventional lawn care equipment, contribute to 10-12% of the nation's air pollution. Gas lawn mowers consume 580 million gallons of gasoline annually and 25-35% of this fuel escapes unburned. The AZ government recently gave an Executive Order to stop using gasoline powered lawn equipment by June 30, 2007. Worldwide, people are stepping up to the plate to prevent further global warming and here in the US, many are asking how they can do their part. One way is to reduce the carbon emissions that come from conventional lawn care equipment.
Clean Air Lawn Care uses electric and biodiesel fueled equipment powered through renewable energy (wind/solar). The equipment is also noticeably quiet. The Dept. of Interior Green Seal report estimates electric lawn mowers cut noise emissions by
50-75%, making it much nicer for neighbors! Purchasing the equipment was only slightly more expensive than gas-powered machines, yet even with just 30 to 40 customers in the 2006 mowing season, Clean Air Lawn Care saved $1500 in gasoline and prevented 2,500 pounds of carbon emissions from entering the atmosphere. With Clean Air Lawn Care's current expansion in Colorado to Boulder and Denver, and nationally to Boston, New York, Atlanta, San Francisco, Salt Lake City, Portland, and Seattle, just imagine how much less carbon will be emitted in 2007!
