"What do you mean, I shouldn't hang out on a shooting range?
What are you, some lefty whacko?
There's no reson to think that there is any danger. Oh, sure, in the past people have been hit by bullets on a shooting range, but no more so than have been hit on shooting ranges since the beginning of time.
In fact there have been scientific studies that the chances of a bullet, which is very small in relationship to me, taking up the same volume of space as my body at any given time are infintessimal almost to the point of being non-existant. And I am so sure of this I'm going to make my children and neighbors walk around on the shooting range as well."
It would actually be funny if it were only them suffering the consequences of this type of thinking.
How about this? If there is only a chance of 1 in 1 million that your child would be hit wouldn't that be a chance you wouldn't be willing to take?
I thought you guys were the ones with the zero percent doctrine.
Peace. Out. Recycle.
The way I learned it in school was: "government for the people, by the people." A lot of our leadership seems to have forgotten that little lesson, so I say it's time to teach them a lesson. They say they want us to wait til this administration is out of office before they will do anything. I say, they can leave with this administration, and good riddance!
November is Recycling Month and Nov. 15th is "America Recycles Day".It's kinda odd, in what I've always thought of as a progressive city (Denver) with an allegedly progressive mayor, there isn't a single event scheduled in the city.
I just hope that means that we're all so busy doing the work of recycling that we don't have time to raise awareness. Hopefully our Mayor and maybe even our Governor will get involved next year.
When you have to suffer outrage after outrage, day after day, eventually it becomes commonplace and you barely notice it anymore.
Poor kids need healthcare? Screw 'em! They shouldn't have been born poor. They have the chance to pull themselves up by their bootstraps and really make something of themselves through hard-work and study. Just like our pResident did. It's hard work. I know that. It's hard being a "C" student, especially when your teachers/profs were paid or threatened to raise the grades to a "C".
If you have nothing to hide you shouldn't mind being spied on. Only Terrists and evil-doers don't want to be spied on.
Where's your flag lapel pin? The one with seven stripes and 20 or so white spots in the blue field, made by child labor in China?
Don't really want our troops to die for nothing? Why don't you support our troops?
Waterboarding was prosecuted by us in other miitary adventures and that was illeagal cause we weren't doing it. It's all in the way you look at the water. if you're looking down at a face that's under water, that's okay. If you're looking up through the water at someone holding you down while you struggle for breath, it doesn't seem quite so okay. I suppose if you have nothing to hide you shouldn't mind being tortured. (see: only terrists and evil-doers above)
Two months ago, global warming didn't exist, now it's a priority, as long as it doesn't cost anything.
Oh, my god! Iran is supplying weapons to the Iraqi insurgents, so they must be bombed. The biggest supplier of weapons to the insurgents? Huge Ammo dumps left unprotected; shipments of hundreds of thousands of rifles and machine guns unaccounted for and lost; millions of american dollars in CASH lost. I wonder if anyone could purchase weapons with millions of dollars?
A 2mm fetus is more important than a 2 ft child.
Gays are going to destroy marriage, because they don't have the same family values as David Vitters, or Newt Gingrich, or Randy Cunningham, or Larry Craig, or... (pick almost any of them at random and sing along.)
(Unless they want to work for free) Let's go kill us some brown people! I mean "Liberate". Spread Freedom like a big pool of blood.
All of this from people who are supposedly far more religious and holy than I could ever hope to be.
I'm sick of it.
Keep this one in mind: Matthew 5:9
Peace. Out.
BTW if you pay a contractor, say "Blackwater" for example, huge sums of money without the process of a competitive bidding system, and you pay them with money from the patriotic taxpayers (Middle Class), the least they could do would be to pay taxes to the country that has been so generous to them. Not only do Blackwater make 5 times what the troops make, they don't even seem to want to support the troops with taxes. Why do they HATE AMERICA???
Vetoing SCHIP condemns poor and middle class kids to lousy or no healthcare.
This in turn leads to illness, disease or death. of these children.
Aren't these kids potential troops? In fact, if we continue with endless war, they WILL be the troops.
Why does Bush hate the troops?
I just figured it out.
The new definition of torture is: What we don't do. As in: "We don't torture." "If we do it, it's not torture, what ever it is."
"If it's torture we don't do it."
This just in: Humans no longer walk. They practice ambulatory advancement. Our pilots no longer fly. They perform enchanced aerial shuttle services. Blackwater no longer kills. They aggressively cutail organic functioning and assist in heavenly dispatch.
My message to the pResident is, "Go practice the activity that would allow you to asexually reproduce."
