Maintain Educational Standards in Colorado (MESIC http://mesic1.blogspot.com) is an ad hoc coalition of Colorado residents mobilized to oppose attempts to impose "intelligent design" and other pseudoscientific concepts on Colorado public schools. In view of the recent efforts to lower educational standards in neighboring Kansas, and the intention to similarly reduce standards in Colorado, we are mobilizing in defense of sound science and sound teaching standards in our public schools.
