    <title>Be The Change</title>
    <link>http://www.progressnowaction.org/page/community/group_rss/BeTheChange</link>
<description>Be the Change USA is a grassroots political organization which promotes progressive issues and principles first espoused by the Senate campaign of Mike Miles. Be the Change USA is steadfastly committed to progressive ideals: Compassion over greed, effort over pedigree, service over wealth and the common good above all. Founded in the late summer of 2004, its initial short-term goal was to support progressive candidates and issues in the November 2004 election. Over the long term, it will continue to support progressive political issues and work to increase grassroots involvement and influence in the Democratic Party in particular, and in the political process as a whole. The name “Be the Change” was Mike Miles’s Senate campaign slogan, and comes from the quote by Gandhi: &quot; You must be the change you wish to see in the world.&quot;</description>

<title>Kucinich to Introduce New Article of Impeachment Against Bush Thursday</title>
<description>Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich said he will introduce a single article of impeachment against President George W. Bush Thursday for &amp;ldquo;taking our nation and our troops to war based on lies.&amp;rdquo; Last month, Kucinich introduced 35 articles of impeachment against President Bush in the form of a privileged resolution.&amp;nbsp; Kucinich, a former 2008 Democratic presidential candidate, spent four-hours reading the impeachment articles into the Congressional Record last month. He accused the commander-in-chief of a wide range of high crimes and misdemeanors, such as lying to Congress and the public to win support for the Iraq war. The impeachment articles introduced by Kucinich last month took place a few days after the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence released a long-awaited report on prewar Iraq intelligence that concluded President Bush and Vice President Cheney knowingly lied to the public and to Congress about Iraq&#039;s links to al-Qaeda and the threat the country posed to the U.S. in the aftermath of 9/11.&amp;nbsp; &amp;ldquo; These articles of impeachment are about accountability,&amp;rdquo; Kucinich said. &amp;ldquo;I think our country is at risk. We&amp;rsquo;re setting a terrible precedent for future administrations if we choose to turn a blind eye to the crimes committed by this administration.&amp;quot; The House of Representatives referred the Bush articles of impeachment to the Judiciary Committee, chaired by Rep. John Conyers (D-MI). Conyers has yet to release a public statement on the motion, but has in the past not been supportive of impeachment efforts. The resolution to impeach Cheney, which Kucinich presented in April 2007, remains stalled in the committee he chairs.
