This is plain absurd

We all forget our wallets sometimes. And we shouldn't be outrageously punished just because we forget.

But we would if a deceptive Denver ballot measure -Initiated Question 100--passes on August 12. Initiated Question 100 would force police officers to impound our vehicles if we are pulled over and don't have our licenses.

It's so bad even the Denver Post has announced it's opposition, stating Initiated Question 100 "could violate the rights of thousands of legitimate citizens while burdening Denver taxpayers." (http://www.denverpost.com/opinionheadlines/ci_10060507)

That's just wrong. We can all be forgetful. And we shouldn't have our cars impounded and be forced to pay almost $3,000 to get our vehicles back.

The crazy thing is this measure is funded by out of state interests who don't know a thing about Coloradans, don't think we are responsible, and think our police force should waste their time impounding vehicles instead of protecting us.

So, take a minute, click on the link and add your name to the thousands who have already pledged to VOTE NO on Initiated Question 100.

Thank you.

I'm sorry, but I disagree

If our police were to seize many thousands of vehicles, there could be beneficial effects. It could reduce overcrowding on our highways, air pollution and traffic deaths. Perhaps, in order to avoid discriminating against the absentminded, or individuals who can't get driver's licenses because they're, say, undocumented aliens, minor children, blind and so on, the police should seize all the infernal combustion devices and we could go back to horses and buggies.
