"Gunny" Bob: Three Tomatoes rejects hate radio

We've had an enormous response to our call for advertisers to pull their funds from "Gunny" Bob Newman's 850 KOA radio show, after he called last week for "every Muslim immigrant to America who holds a green card, a visa, or who is a naturalized citizen" to "be required by law to wear a GPS tracking bracelet at all times," as well as have their homes, offices, mosques, etc. "bugged"--and if they refuse, "throw their asses out of this country."
Today, in response to your phone calls and letters, the first former "Gunny" Bob advertiser, Three Tomatoes Catering, has agreed that their money and good name should not be associated with hate radio.

Dear Michael:
I am writing to you in regards to your web-site (progressnowaction.org) and it's position on the radio talk show " Gunny Bob". We have been fielding numerous phone calls from angry listeners and subscribers to your web-site, that we advertise on his show. I want to share with everyone that wepurchased a 2-week block of ad space with Clear Channel, and we do not get to choose when and where the ads will appear. They run the ads between all of their stations. Our owner, Peggy Beck has called Clear Channel to voice her opinion, and disgust that her highly reputable 30-year old catering company is being associated with this idiot. In the future we are going to place our ads with contingencies as to what stations and when they are to be aired. Three Tomatoes Catering is listed as a boycott company due to this on your web-site. If there were anything you can do to help us not be affiliated with Gunny Bob, we would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Gary Woods
Vice President of Sales
Three Tomatoes Catering
Thank you, Mr. Woods, we absolutely believe that your company had no intention of being associated with this man and his vile rantings. We will let our network members know immediately, and you are to be commended for taking control of your advertising dollars.
Keep the pressure on other sponsors! Click here to see the list and give them a call, and let us know what they said.

Absolutely, though, they were very good about this and should be commended.
More of the businesses that were slid in to advertise for "Slime-Ball" Bob should follow Three Tomatos' example. The perceived need for advertising should not be so severe to force businesses to accept this kind of treatment by mega-broadcasters like Clear Channel, and the accept deplorable outcomes without recourse.
It almost sounds like these businesses should be filing lawsuits against Clear Channel and "Slime-Ball" Bob. His deplorable actions and Clear Channels' support (lack of condemnation and complicity) has essentially defamed those businesses as de facto supporters of his slurs and enticements to illegal acts.
