The Colorado Progressive Pulse is the student voice in the Colorado political conversation. The missing link in the political conversation in the state of Colorado is the student voice. In order to inject a new and fresh perspective, we recently launched a Podcast called The Colorado Progressive Pulse. As progressive student leaders at the University of Denver, we are uniquely positioned to provide candid discussion and debate in a format that appeals to students and engages them in the political process. We integrate engaging interviews, news, commentary, editorials, humor and community events. Previous guests have included Prof. Robert Prince, TJ Bowen of the Colorado Peace Alliance, Eric Kornacki from the Sustainable DU project, and Scott Wisor from the Sudan Divestment Task Force. Future confirmed guests include Seth Masket, a former White House staffer, and Democratic Speaker of the House Andrew Romanoff. By using the volatile combination of humor and analysis while simultaneously providing focus to the progressive community, The Colorado Progressive Pulse reaches out to the untapped potential of university students. Seems Like every 20-years or so...
By Ralph T Jul 26th 2007 at 11:02 am MDT
My best wishes and encouragement to all involved in this worthwhile effort. Over twenty years-ago I was in the middle of a similar endeavor that resulted in the incorporation of the Colorado State Student Association.

Breaking out of the self-indulgent doldrums of HS and even college to become fully engaged citizens and political activists is no small chore. But, it is vital for the good of the world you live in and the integrity and legitimacy of the government that impacts your daily lives.

In just one more week, we will find out who will be the next President that will represent our country for the next four years. As the time nears, I am getting more excited and nervous by the second. The so-called “political polls” that have been smeared all over the nightly news broadcast and websites is not something I would put any stock into. Reputable news sources such as the Associated Press, NBC, CBS, ABC and Reuters, are said to be the backbone of these “official” polls. However, what they don’t tell you is that the poll, which represents two-thirds of the people who support Barack Obama, might be the cause of concern. This is not because of the fact that Obama intends to put an end to legitimate financial options such as cash advance stores. Rather, because two-thirds of what this poll is talking about only signifies two-thirds of they’re viewing audience, and does not represent the nation as a whole. So, read all the information about all of the candidates before you cast your vote; don’t allow the media to fool you.
