It is time to call McCain a traitor. Why?
Because McCain has stated that he has a "plan" to capture/kill OBL. If that is so then why wait? Americans are being killed in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. What moral reason does he have in not telling Mr. Bush his "plan"?
Call our elected representatives and demand that McCain give his "plan" to Mr. Bush and not wait for an election.
Let the local media know about this despicable tactic of McCain to let our soldiers die while he plays politics with his "plan to get OBL".
But it's just so much political posturing....it's no different than Nixon's "secret" plan to end the Vietnam War. I hardly consider it "treason."
I doubt seriously he even has a plan - if anything, he needs the specter of Bin laden hovering in the shadows. How else can he justify the 100-year occupation of Iraq, or trying to pass more laws to strip away our Constitutional rights?
It is a great point to ask the Senator from Arizona why he didn't act on his secret plan before - after all, he's been in Washington for a while, and has had plenty of opportunity to pull the Deserter President aside and give it a mention.
We can call McSame a lot of things - senile old coot, tool of the extreme right-wing, turncoat to veterans...but the one thing I refuse to call him is a traitor. I will not give the Right some sort of bullshit talking point to hoot and screech about on Fox Noise.
If you believe that this is a "clash between civilizations" and that it is a "fight to the death with religions" then I fail to see why McCain would want to keep his "plan" until after the election.
But....
The evidence so far is that the "War on Terror" is a chimera for keeping one political party in power permanently then McCain is the lowest of the low because he is just posturing for reaching the presidency without being responsible.
It is time for the big national organizations like VoteVets to become involved and tell McCain to come clean about his "plan to get OBL" because the corporate media won't do their job. Also, it is time for concerned citizens to ask McCain at every "townhall" because we now know that Palin is too good to answer any questions from citizens and the media Link.
Because the issue isn't even worth a web ad. Is there a body of votes in the Senate or speeches on CSPAN that show for years that he's had a plan to capture OBN? This was one stupid comment at one event...it's not even on par with the draft "I don't disagree with anything you've said.." statement.
We've got less than 60 days to make sure Obama wins -and the things we need to beat McCain over the head with are the issues already out there - his piss-poor record on Vets, his flip-flops on immigration, tax cuts, energy, etc. His ungodly man-love of Bush. His poor temperment & judgement.
THESE issues will get picked up by the mainstream media because they've already been out there. When VoteVets or DNC starts coming out with their "McCain Hates Vets" ads (I pick VV), then all of his stupid comments to contrary become HEAT rounds...esp his "perfect record" at the GI Forum event.
It's like the image of Palin in a Bikini with a .22 air rifle...it's a fake, and it's designed to divert attention from the real things that the press needs to grill her about.
Why start a ruckus about something that the campaign can easily dismiss? Go after the stuff that has some legs!
