The Nation magazine has a petition that should be signed by all supporters of his candidacy.

Why?

Because he must be held accountable for his actions that must match his words.  If the actions do not match the words then what can we do?

Can we hold you accountable?

He hasn't been elected yet! Wow, talk about taking your anger out on the wrong person.

He is losing ground to McCain because he is trying to compromise on all the wrong issues and at the wrong time. He is starting to be seen by both the left and the undecideds as a flip flopper because he refuses to attack. The conservatives only know one way to fight - dirty. They know the Dems have no stomach for fighting back. There should be adds hitting the airways comparing where we are today to 7 1/2 years ago. There should be tv spots focusing on the deficit, lack of health care for all, the fact that we are falling behind as leaders in the world. I would love to see Paris and Brittany do a commercial off the McCain tv spot that supports Obama. They sure could get a lot of publicity. Either we start to fight in the gutter witht hem or we will see another Bush term, more really bad Supreme Court appointments, and the value of the dollar worsen

What? A Jimmy Swaggart Moment on Cable News?

Accountable? What does that mean exactly?

Do you want him to go on the air immediately, tears in his eyes, and apologize for being a weak man and voting for the FISA bill?

I'm sorry all the idealist on the Left just had their Obama-love shattered, but understand that he is a politician. He voted for the bill (to include the Civil Immunity for the Telecos) because as a politician, he has to make deals and compromise with 98 other Senators (and his own Party) in order to effectively participate in that legislative body.

If you want a legislator who will obstinately votes along a die-hard political view, there's a guy in the other party named Paul who votes NO so reliably that he should tape the "Nay" button on his desk down with duct tape.

For all of you who thought that Obama was some mythical God of the Left who would never betray any of your beliefs for political gain, perhaps this is good that this happened now and not later in the campaign.

As long as he is running for the Presidency, he's going to vote and position himself in the Center, until he moves in 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

And as this campaign goes on, there's going to be more. If you want to withhold your vote from Sen. Obama as punishment, will you take responsibility for 4 more years of a Bush administration?
