Holy shit. This is absolutley despicable:
Republican Mike Huckabee responded to an offstage noise during his speech to the National Rifle Association by suggesting it was Barack Obama diving to the floor because someone had aimed a gun at him.

Hearing a loud noise and interrupting his speech, Huckabee said: "That was Barack Obama. He just tripped off a chair. He's getting ready to speak and somebody aimed a gun at him and he -- he dove for the floor."

There were only a few murmurs in the crowd after the remark.

Obama

The scary thing is, it's a very real possibility. There are many who would not allow Barack Obama to become President.

I completely reject that. And for Mike Huckabee to joke about it is beyond disgusting. Everyone should loudly and passionately condemn Huckabee.

I believe this is a fear many of us have. How tragic, how Neanderthal, to know that there is still some of this sick thinking in our country. And that a former presidential candidate (a Christian minister, at that) makes jokes about it! I agree...sick, sick, sick.

Protect Obama

That was a terrible thing to say but much truth is said in jest. How many of the assassinations in this country have questionable ties. We need to provide extreme protection to this man. He is one of the

If I remember that Obama has the second largest Secret Service protection. Second only to Mr. Bush.

What is truly scary is that there is racism within the Secret Service that is so bad that black Secret Service agents are suing for discrimination. Emails that show that Secret Service supervisors passed around an anecdote about a possible assassination of the Rev. Jesse Jackson. [See this Link ]

Why did security not screen all participants for weapons at recent Obama events? See here Link .

This is a time for grave concern that Obama be afforded the best security 24/7. There should be no lapses in any kind of security measures for this presidential candidate.

Noise

The noise was that of Huckabee's brain trying to engage...and failing.
Somebody call the Secret Service

Threats to officials of any kind are downright scary. Peaceful succession is critical. Our political system depends on it.

I published an article on OpEdNews.com recently and some creep posted comments on my article threatening to assassinate members of the US House.

I immediately called a member of my family who is an FBI agent. He suggested I start with the FBI, but the FBI referred me to the Secret Service. I contacted them and shared all the info I had about the guy. I have no idea what happened after that but I'm sure it was the right thing to do.

A buddy of mine lived through a coup in Argentina a few years back. He was in a hospital in Terra De Fuego and woke up one day to see road blocks, tanks, troops and machine gun nests in the streets. Scared him good.

Every so often one hears comments about public officials that are probably meant in jest. Until one knows for sure they should be taken seriously. This election is too important. Every so often one will hear a protester start to make such joking comments. I usually stop them mid-sentence and tell them in advance what I will do if they finish the statement. I rarely hear such comments around me anymore. Better that way.

Obama, McCain and Clinton should have the best protection our Country can provide.
