However, illegal spying on U.S. citizens is not funny.

Makes me sick...
Most people never realized that they could be tracked via their pager or cell phones. I always wonder (like the light in the refrigerator,,,does it always go off?) When I set my cell phone for "911 tracking only" does it really shut off the "other tracking"? Since cell phones send out a signal periodically to contact the closests cell site. I know this information is stored at the switch level, but to the best of my knowledge most carriers never retreive it.
