My Story: I have a large number of family members and friends who are either retired military or active military. I have been taught a deep respect for those who have served, or are currently serving, and feel that many of our current politicians in office have not bothered to learn the history of our country, or even bother to recognize the devotion and sacrifices that have been made on their behalf. More people in positions of power and decision-making authority need to become more familiar with current and past military operations, and at the very least respect those who are making sacrifices in the name of this country through making decisions and carrying out actions that will benefit the veteran community.
