To provide factual Social affects of denying equal opprounity to those convicted of felones. We fully understand the affects of our actions, those of us who paid our debit and now are tax payers, have delt with the mental truma that lead us to prison and are here by productive voting citizens. The concern we are faced with today is that many of us have children and they are suffering because of a 20 year ago foolish mistake that denies us housing, employment and needed monies for food, clothing;Denial of these opprotunies has only increased the welfare and non child support system. The deliberate denial of employment and housing under federal and state law denies a class of people who must live within a country that would deny them the basic right to Life and Liberty and deny their children every opprotunity a non felon child enjoys. (keynote) When the recent shooting at the federal prison in FL took place no one concluded that these were bad apples who passed federal and local background checks, but still killed a fellow officer. Child Support and Welfare supports can thank the law makers who have no sense of governing for preventing them from gaining in the economic arena, when you deny a parent a job, who gets paid? When a parent is making 25 cent a day and works that job for 20 years while incarcerated and then gets out and is denied a job at McDonalds or denied a job with the postoffice, you get what you see in recedivism and the parent never pays it's due to either welfare or child support for the care of the child. Common sense must begin to prevail.
