ProgressNowAction is calling on the GOP to reimburse Denver area local governments for the tens of thousands of taxpayer dollars they are spending in additional security expenses for O’Donnell’s private political fundraising visit in Cherry Hills, Colorado. According to the Denver Police Department, Denver taxpayers have incurred over $50,000 in additional security expenses for a single Presidential visit to raise money for candidates. As this visit by President Bush was for not other purpose other than a private high-end fundraiser, we call on the GOP to reimburse local governments for the expenses of this visit. .
